Social Responsibility

Smart Woman Viewpoint

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it’s the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead

At the core of compassion is the understanding that we are all One. Whether you give of your time or your money, sharing with and nurturing each other are fundamental human qualities.

If a child dying every 3 seconds in this world from hunger bothers you, take action. If you see the environment in need to care, do it. If you visit a sick friend in a time of need, you are being socially responsible. It doesn’t take huge action. It simply takes action.

Mass Transit Mindset: Are You Too Sexy for the Bus?:  I used to have a car…it was a nice car, with a/c, a radio, power windows, the works… But alas, it was also a used car (I am part of the reduce, reuse, recycle crowd so I haven’t bought a new car in over 10 years.) When I was side-swiped by another motorist several months ago, my car was totaled. ().
